Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mesmeeting collects, uses, and protects data when you connect your social media accounts and use our Messenger chatbot and console.

Last updated:

1. Who we are

Mesmeeting (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform based in Rome, Italy. We provide a unified control panel that allows customers to centrally manage their social media accounts and Messenger conversations.

Company name: Mesmeeting
Address: Rome, Italy

2. What data we access

When you authorise Mesmeeting to connect to your social media or Messenger account (for example, a Facebook Page), we access only the information that is necessary to provide our services via the official open platform APIs. This may include:

  • Page or account information (e.g. name, ID, profile image).
  • Post content that you create or manage through our platform.
  • Comments and replies related to your posts.
  • Private messages (such as Messenger conversations) between your page and your users.
  • Basic performance metrics (e.g. message volume, response times, basic engagement metrics).

We display this information within your Mesmeeting console so that you can view, organise, and respond to your communications.

3. How we use your data

We use the data described above solely for the following purposes:

  • To provide a unified interface where you can view your data and conversations.
  • To allow you to reply to messages and comments using our platform.
  • To let you create, schedule, and publish posts from within Mesmeeting.
  • To generate basic operational analytics and reports for your accounts.
  • To maintain, secure, and improve the performance and reliability of our services.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, selling, or sharing with third parties.
Your data is processed only to deliver the functionalities you choose to use in Mesmeeting.

4. What we never do with your data

Specifically, we commit to the following:

  • We do not use your data to create advertising audiences or run ads.
  • We do not use your data to build commercial user profiles.
  • We do not sell or trade your data with third parties.
  • We do not share your data with third parties, except when strictly necessary to provide the service (e.g. hosting providers acting on our behalf).

5. Data storage and retention

We store only the amount of data that is necessary to operate Mesmeeting and support your use of our services. We retain this data while:

  • your Mesmeeting account remains active; or
  • we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest to retain certain records (for example, security or audit logs).

When you no longer wish to use Mesmeeting, you may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any legal obligations we may have to keep specific information.

6. Data access and authorisation

You connect your social media accounts to Mesmeeting by granting access through the respective platform’s authorisation flow (such as Facebook’s login and permissions screens). You remain in control of these permissions and can revoke them at any time from the platform settings or within our app.

7. Revoking authorisation

If you revoke Mesmeeting’s access to your social media accounts, we will:

  • Immediately stop requesting or receiving new data from those accounts.
  • Prevent our systems from any further access under the revoked authorisation.

At your request, we will delete related data that we store about that account, except where we are legally required or permitted to retain certain information (for example, for security or accounting).

8. Service providers and data sharing

We may use carefully selected third-party service providers to help us deliver the Mesmeeting service (such as hosting, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, or security tools). These providers only process data on our behalf and under contracts that require them to protect your information.

We do not allow these providers to use your data for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location and applicable data protection law, you may have rights including:

  • Accessing the personal data we hold about you.
  • Requesting correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Requesting deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Objecting to certain types of processing or requesting restriction.
  • Requesting a copy of your data in a portable format, where technically feasible.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 11.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

Mesmeeting’s website and console may use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in to your Mesmeeting account.
  • Remember your preferences and settings.
  • Help us understand basic usage patterns (such as which pages are visited most frequently).

Where required by law, we will provide cookie notices and choices about how cookies are used.
